Users use 2 step authentication to Power BI to provide extra protection. The university uses DUO as a solution to MFA.

Viewing of reports and dashboards is done within the cloud, while developing of visuals and reports resides within the desktop tool.

Understanding Data
Data is a collection of facts, such as numbers, words, measurements, observations or just descriptions of things. Here is a great description.
Power BI contains comprehensive data specific to UCSB operations. Student Reporting, Financial Aid, Student Health, Facilities, Human Resources, Budgets and more can be found in Power BI reports. Use Cognos for questions related to UC Path.
